How to enable Adaptive Bitrate Streaming (ABR) for a livestream

Learn how to enable ABR feature on livestream and embed player

Livepush now offers direct Adaptive Bitrate for livestreams (a.k.a ABR) for both, embed player and direct m3u8/hls urls. To access this feature, the customer must have an active subscription of either of the following Live streaming plans.

1x Adaptive Bitrate Streaming - $50 per month

  • Supports 1 Livestream.

  • ✅ Each stream encoded with profiles; 360p, 480p, 720p, 1080p.

  • ✅ Hosted on Akamai CDN.

  • ✅ Supports direct .m3u8 and .mpd links.

2x Adaptive Bitrate Streaming - $90 per month

  • Supports 2 Livestreams.

  • ✅ Each stream encoded with profiles; 360p, 480p, 720p, 1080p.

  • ✅ Hosted on Akamai CDN.

  • ✅ Supports direct .m3u8 and .mpd links

4x Adaptive Bitrate Streaming - $160 per month

  • Supports 4 Livestreams.

  • Supports 2 Livestreams.

  • ✅ Each stream encoded with profiles; 360p, 480p, 720p, 1080p.

  • ✅ Hosted on Akamai CDN.

  • ✅ Supports direct .m3u8 and .mpd links

If you are already a customer with any of the above subscription plans, then simply go ahead to your stream embed settings page and enable "Adaptive Bitrate Transcoding (ABR)" option.
