Livepush supports Steam as a streaming destination, and all you need is to add and configure Steam's RTMP streaming server and stream key in your Livepush dashboard.

Requirements

  1. - A Steam account. (should not be a Limited account. See Here)

  2. - Access to Steam group "Store Broadcast Beta" with the same Steam account.

  3. - A Livepush account.

Step by step guide

Adding Steam as a destination can be done in a few steps. Let's walk through them.

1- Sign in to your Livepush account (if you don't have one, create your Free Account.

2- Go to your Dashboard Home and click on your stream card i.e. Multistream or Pre-recorded live stream.

3- In the Stream Dashboard page, click on the [Add Destination] button under "Destinations" section on the left.

4- The destinations dialog will appear with all of the supported platforms, click on the "Steam" icon.

5- Now you need to login to your Steam account and apply to join the Steam group "Store Broadcast Beta" (it's free). To do that, sign in to your Steam account in a new browser tab or window.

Note: You can skip to Step (10) if you already have your Steam RTMP server url and stream key.

6- After logging in to your Steam, go to the Store Broadcast Beta group and click on [Join Group] button on the right. You will be added as a member instantly.

Note: You can skip this step if you are already a member of "Store Broadcast Beta" group.

7- Now you need to copy the RTMP server URL and stream key from your Steam live stream. To do that, go to the Steam Broadcast page.

8- In the Steam Broadcast page, locate and click on the [Create RTMP Token] button, this will generate new RTMP streaming keys for you.

9- Once you can see the generated RTMP Token, copy this value and the recommended link for the Upload Server visible in the same page, keeps these values copied with a notepad like tool.

10- Now, go back to your Livepush Stream Dashboard page and paste your copied server url and stream key values to the input boxes visible in the Destination Dialog.

  1. Steam Upload URL === Destination Streaming Server in Livepush.

  2. Steam RTMP Token === Destination Stream Key in Livepush
