How to stream live from Streamlabs OBS to Livepush

Learn how to set up and configure Streamlabs OBS to start sending livestreams to Livepush dashboard

Livepush supports several popular encoders and products to receive live stream sources from, one of which is Streamlabs OBS Studio.

Streamlabs OBS is an amazing and feature-rich game broadcasting tool from Streamlabs Marketplace to tons of streaming capabilities, like overlays, a dedicated marketplace plus all the features OBS has to offer and is free to download and use.

Configuring Streamlabs OBS to stream live to Livepush is simple and easy. Let's walk through the steps.

Requirements

Step by Step Guide

1- Download and install Streamlabs OBS in your machine or computer.

Skip this step if you already have Streamlabs OBS installed

2- Open the Streamslabs OBS and login to your existing or new SLOBS account.

3- Sign in to your Livepush account (if you don't have one, create your Free Account)

4- Go to your Dashboard Home and click on your stream card i.e. multistream or pre-recorded live.

If you have multiple stream cards, then select or click on the stream card you want to live stream to.

5- In your Livepush Stream Dashboard page, locate the RTMP KEYS section at the bottom right side of the page.

6- From RTMP KEYS section below the player preview, copy your RTMP SERVER ADDRESS and STREAM KEY values. You will need these two values to configure your Streamlabs OBS streaming.

7- Go back to the opened Streamlabs OBS window and locate a Settings icon which is a gear-like icon on the bottom left corner of the SLOBS and click on it. This will open the Streamlabs OBS Settings Dialog box.

8- From Streamlabs OBS Settings Dialog, click on [Stream] option from the right side menu to configure streaming RTMP keys.

9- In Settings: Stream view, click on the [Stream Type] dropdown and select Custom Streaming Server.

The two input boxes URL and Stream Key will appear, this is to let you insert your Livepush RTMP Server URL and Stream Key values.

10- Inside the URL field under Streamlabs OBS Stream Settings, paste the value of RTMP SERVER ADDRESS you have captured in Step (7)

11- Inside the Stream Key field under Streamlabs OBS Stream Settings, paste the value of STREAM KEY you have captured in the same Step (7).

12- Click on [Done] button at the bottom of the Settings dialog to save the configured RTMP keys.

13- Now lets start streaming to Livepush by clicking on the [Go Live] button on the bottom right corner of Streamlabs OBS. If prompted, review and configure your Stream Titles, description, tags, etc and click [Confirm & Go Live].

Hurray! you are now streaming live from Streamlabs OBS to your Livepush dashboard.

Bonus Step: Go to your Livepush Stream dashboard and see if the stream is being received, if not please check your internet connect or contact Live Chat support.
