How to stream live from XSplit to Livepush

Learn how to set up and configure XSplit to start streaming to Livepush dashboard

Livepush supports several popular encoders to receive live stream sources, one of which is XSplit Studio. Among many encoders, XSplit Studio is a common broadcasting software and also has a free version to download and use.

Configuring XSplit to stream live to Livepush is simple and easy. Let's walk through the steps;

Requirements

  • XSplit is Installed on your streaming computer. (If not, Download XSplit for free).

  • A Livepush account.

Step by Step Guide

1- Download and install XSplit in your streaming computer.

Skip this step if you already have XSplit installed.

2- Open the XSplit program/app and login to your existing or new XSplit account.

3- Sign in to your Livepush account (if you don't have one, create your Free Account)

4- Go to your Dashboard Home and click on your stream card i.e. Multistream or Pre-recorded live.

5- In your Livepush Stream Dashboard page, locate the RTMP KEYS section at the bottom right side of the page.

6- From RTMP KEYS, copy your RTMP SERVER ADDRESS and STREAM KEY values. You will need these two values to configure your XSplit streaming.

7- Go back to the opened XSplit window and click on [Broadcast] from the main menu and select [Setup a new output] and then select [Custom RTMP]. This will open the Custom RTMP Properties dialog box.

8- From XSplit Custom RTMP Properties dialog, you need to configured Livepush streaming keys.

  1. Inside the RTMP URL field and paste the value of your Livepush RTMP SERVER ADDRESS you have captured in Step (6).

  2. Inside the Stream Key field and paste the value of your Livepush Stream Key you have captured in Step (6).

9- Click on [OK] button at the bottom of the XSplit Custom RTMP Properties to save the configured RTMP keys.

10- Now let start streaming to Livepush by clicking on the [Stream] button on the top center side of XSplit.

Hurray! you are now streaming live from XSplit to your Livepush dashboard.

Bonus Step: Go to your Livepush Stream dashboard and see if the stream is being received, if not please check your internet connect or contact Live Chat support.
