Learn how to start sending a Livepush livestream to a YouTube Live Event

YouTube is still considered the world's biggest video streaming platform enclosing variety of content for education, entertainment, media broadcasts, conferences, events and many more. In short everyone can get their content posted on such a massive platform to promote their content by targeting tons of viewers from everywhere in the world.

Requirements

  1. A Google account.

  2. A YouTube channel with Livestreaming enabled, because YouTube takes up to 24 hours to activate it for new accounts.

  3. A Livepush account.

Step by step guide

Adding YouTube destination with your Google account is very easy and convenient. Let's walk through the steps.

1- Sign in to your Livepush account (if you don't have one, create your Free Account.

2- Go to your Dashboard Home and click on your live stream i.e. Live Input or Pre-recorded Live.

3- In the Stream Dashboard page, click on Add Destination from the Destinations section on the right.

4- The destinations dialog will appear with all of the supported platforms, click on the "YouTube" icon.

5- Now, you need to link your Google YouTube account with Livepush to automatically download the RTMP settings for your YouTube Live Event. To do that , To do that , Click on Login with YouTube.

6- Once you are connected to your Gooogle/YouTube account, Livepush will ask you to select a Channel. Select "New Live Event" to create a new YouTube live event.

7- Next is to update your stream title, stream description for this new YouTube live event.

8- Next is to configure your YouTube Live Event Privacy settings.

9- Click on Save Destination, wait for it to get saved .. and then close the dialog box.

Great Job! you have successfully linked your YouTube Live Event as a destination in your Livepush dashboard.

Bonus Step: Toggle the "ON/OFF" switch next to your YouTube destination and start streaming to YouTube.
