What plan do I need for 24/7 live streaming?

The cheapest Livepush plans for running a 24/7 live channel, on social platforms or on your own website.

Written by Wahaj Dar

Short answer: the Creators plan ($39/month, or $32.50/month billed annually) is the least expensive plan that supports 24/7 live streaming.

24/7 streaming works through the schedule channel. You queue videos into a running schedule and your channel stays on-air continuously without you being present. Note that unlimited multistreaming hours on a plan is not the same thing as a 24/7 channel, which is roughly 720 hours a month. You need a plan that includes the 24/7 schedule channel.

Plans that support 24/7 streaming

Social media streaming

Creators - $39/month, or $32.50/month billed $390 yearly. The entry point for 24/7. Includes the 24/7 schedule channel, video looping, up to 4K output, 5 simultaneous streams, 40 platforms, 5 destinations per platform, 20 GB video storage, and unlimited pre-recorded event duration.

Business - $119/month, or $102/month billed $1,229 yearly. For teams running several channels at once. Adds on-air schedule editing (change the queue while it is running), higher stream counts, 15 destinations per platform, 100 GB storage, 15 team invites and priority support.

Live event hosting

Choose these if you also want the stream on your own website with a branded player and Akamai CDN delivery.

Studio - $139/month, or $119/month billed $1,428 yearly. The entry point for 24/7 with hosted playback. Adds the 24/7 schedule channel, 4K output, SRT output links, 5 simultaneous streams, 100 GB storage and 3 TB monthly bandwidth.

Network - $399/month, or $339/month billed $4,068 yearly. For large audiences. 9 simultaneous streams, 400 GB storage, 8 TB monthly bandwidth, dual cloud transcoding, 2 adaptive bitrate streams and on-air schedule updates.

The Events plan does not include the 24/7 schedule channel. If you need continuous streaming on your own website, start at Studio.

Which one should I pick?

If your 24/7 channel goes to YouTube, Facebook, Twitch or other platforms, Creators is enough.

If your 24/7 channel plays on your own website, you need a live event hosting plan, so start at Studio.

If you already have a social plan and only need to add hosted playback, talk to us on live chat before upgrading. Plan allowances stack, so adding a hosting plan alongside your existing one is sometimes a better fit than moving up a tier.
