TikTok is the one major platform without a one-click connection in Livepush. You add it as a Custom RTMP destination instead, using a server URL and stream key that TikTok gives you.
Before you start, do know if you are eligible?
This is the part that stops most people, so check it first.
Being able to go live from the TikTok mobile app does not mean you can stream from software like Livepush. Streaming from a computer or a third-party service needs separate access to TikTok LIVE Studio or TikTok LIVE Producer, and TikTok has never published official criteria for who gets it.
What we see in practice:
Access is granted by TikTok, not by Livepush. We cannot enable it for you.
Accounts with larger followings are far more likely to have it.
Some creators get access through a TikTok Creator Network or agency.
Eligibility changes over time, and having it once does not guarantee keeping it.
To check:
open the TikTok mobile app,
tap the plus sign, swipe to LIVE.
If you are eligible to stream from a desktop you will see options beyond the device camera, including LIVE Studio. If you only see the device camera, you do not have access yet.
Step 1: Get your TikTok server URL and stream key
Go to TikTok LIVE Producer at livecenter.tiktok.com/producer and sign in.
If you are redirected away from that page, your account does not have RTMP access yet.
Set your stream title and category.
Copy the Server URL and the Stream Key. Keep this tab open.
Stream keys expire. A TikTok stream key is generally only valid for a couple of hours, and logging out invalidates it. Generate a fresh one shortly before you go live rather than saving an old one.
Step 2: Add it as a destination in Livepush
In your Livepush dashboard, open your stream and go to Destinations.
Choose Custom RTMP.
Paste the TikTok Server URL into the server field.
Paste the TikTok Stream Key into the stream key field.
Give the destination a name, for example TikTok, so you can recognise it later.
Save.
Custom RTMP destinations are available from the Pro plan upward. They are not included on the Free plan. See Livepush plans and pricing.
Step 3: Go live
Start your stream in Livepush.
Go back to the TikTok LIVE Producer tab. Once it shows that it is receiving your feed, click Go LIVE on TikTok.
Your stream has to be reaching TikTok before TikTok will let you start the broadcast. Starting in Livepush first is the right order.
A note on vertical video
TikTok is a vertical platform. If you send a normal landscape stream, TikTok will letterbox it with black bars at the top and bottom. It will work, but it will not look native.
If TikTok is your main destination, compose a vertical feed in your encoder. If you are multistreaming to landscape platforms at the same time, expect the letterboxing as a trade-off.
Troubleshooting
TikTok never shows the stream arriving. The stream key has probably expired. Generate a new one in LIVE Producer, update the destination in Livepush, and restart the stream.
You cannot reach LIVE Producer at all. Your account does not have RTMP access. Nothing in Livepush will change that.
The stream ends as soon as the connection wobbles. TikTok has a setting that ends the broadcast automatically if the incoming stream stops. Turn it off in LIVE Producer if you want the broadcast to survive a brief interruption.
Black screen or no video on TikTok. Check the stream is running in Livepush first, then confirm you pasted the server URL and stream key with no trailing spaces.
